Ye Liu - Jin Gua Shi - Shi Fen (野柳-九份-金瓜石)

Got the lemon tea and milk from 7-11. They taste good! 

We started Day 2 with the Taiwanese breakfast @ Yonghe Doujiang (永和豆浆) . There are few branches in Taipei . Actually I planned to go Fuhang Doujiang (阜杭豆浆) but the queue was too long. And the driver commented that the taste of food in these shops are not much different. 

The 油条 (You Tiao) are so big! The warm soy milks are tasteless unlike the one in Malaysia. 

This is 咸豆浆 (xian doujiang). The taste is strange  :/

We also ordered 饭团夹蛋, 馒头夹蛋, 火腿蛋饼 and 饺子.

*The eggs are tasteless :/

Didn't know it could be so windy and icy at the geopark. Silly me wearing short pant on that harsh weather. Not to mention together with my Havaianas slipper. Gosh! I looked like an Aliennnnnnn in the crowd!

 

I downloaded the app '野柳行' which contains the information of the specialities of the rocks, locations where you can have a better view of the rocks and so on. We had to queue for our turn to take photo with the formation. Here are the pictures taken with The Queen's Head (女王头).

九份老街 Jiu Fen Old Street

Did you ever watched the Japanese animated film entitled 'Spirited Away' (千与千寻) ? The film is actually inspired by the Jiu Fen Old Street. It was drizzling but still the street was packed with tourists from different countries. There were many delicious food in Jiu Fen Old Street.

We have fun in the toys shop. The boss showed us some interesting items that we could use to play prank on others. 

Tadaaaa! The new camera. Coolpac with 7.0 Megapixel. Let's have a try! 1,2,3 cheese! Oh nooooo! That's water! Hahahaha. It's actually a fake camera. Put water inside and the water will spread out from a very small hole. 

*** Taiwan was struck by 6.1 magnitude earthquake on that day. We didn't noticed it as we didn't feel any shaking. I guessed we were either in the car or the geo park when the earthquake happened. We then knew about the news when received miss calls and concerns from the relatives. The earthquake didn't seems to bother the driver. It's fine for him even if there is any injuries or dead. By then, I came across with some thinking. We live in different countries, we have different thinking and beliefs.

金瓜石 Jin Gua Shi

In the past, it was famous of gold mining. The Gold Ecological Park 黄金博物馆  is very big. There are few residences left by the Japanese which included the Crown Prince Chalet. It is a good place for those who like to enjoy the greenery environment and look for the history. 

We gasp in amazement when the driver introduced this scene for us. Amazing right?
