Sprained ankle

Duhhhhhhh! Sprained my ankle again! The 4th time!

1st time :  12 yrs old - I had been frightened by an insect that can fly. I am not really scared of insects but that time the insect suddenly appeared in front of me. I was like OH MY GOD! Without a second thought, I jumped into the pool and sprained my ankle.

2nd time : 17 years old - I was about to ask my mom to get McDonald's ice cream for me as I had been craving for long. I ran quickly to get mom at the car.  'AHHHHH!' fell down at the floor...

3rd time: 18 years old - I didn't know how I did it! Like fell down when walking at the street in Phuket Island? HAHAHAHA . Dad's friend suggested to have massage for temporary relief from painful. I seriously felt better after it.

4th time: 20 years old - This time, I didn't craving for food, didn't see any insect, didn't walk on street. I just walk through the beds... Alright. Perhaps I jumped over the beds that time? I don't remember. Damnnnnnn! How come the beds got holes! Luckily it was the last day we spent at Genting Highland and planned to go back at noon.

I couldn't go anywhere but sat at Starbucks while waiting for my family members. The people looked at me like I am handicapped. The feeling of being discriminated is bad. It did bother me a while. The pain didn't turned better even I had applied the traditional chinese medicine on the ankle. Dad was worried and asked me to have x-ray check. Luckily, the bones are not broken.

The x-ray of my left ankle! CUTE right?

Dazzling Cafe ☆

A-must-eat-dessert when you are in Taiwan! There are 7 outlets : Pink, Mint, Sunshine, Sky, Blueberry, Bubble and Deluxe. We chose Dazzling Cafe Mint because we simply love Mint!

Taadaaaa! These big rings had caught our attention!

As I searching the information for this cafe, what I got is the cafes are almost always full of customers and long queue. To avoid this matter, I requested the agent of the transport company for booking the seats for us. Due to the 1.5 hours we had been stuck in immigration, we arrived at the cafe half late. Fortunately, there are seats in the cafe!

Dazzling Cafe x Hello Kitty themed cafe that operated for 2 months!

I was tempted by the honey toasts menu!

At last, we ordered a Strawberry Lover Honey Toast and  Banana Chocolate Honey Toast. The waiter did served us well. He waited till we are satisfied with the photos we took then cutting the toasts for us.

The Valrhona Chocolate Waffle is crispy but it tastes not very good

though. I prefer waffle with a rich taste.

Not to forget to mention the basic rule of the cafe : every customer must order a drink. Honestly, I don't like their drinks :/ Some of the drinks tastes weird but still some are good. The menu is written in mandarin, the names of the drinks are strange to us. So, what I can say is try your luck when make the order :P

Taiwan Trip

I’m Ashley Hor Soek Ting. You can call me Soek Ting or ST – the short form of my name which named by my friends. I am not a new baby in the blogging market. I started at Form 2 but then due to some reasons, I stopped blogging when I was in Form 5. However today, the issue that caused I stopped blogging is finally settled down. So, yes here I am! Frankly speaking, I am not a fashionista. I do not know make-up. I am not good in dressing up either. But I just want to share my stories to those who listen and care.

Let’ start reading my blog !

Taiwan

Date: 26th of March 2013 to 3rd of April 2013

Fee: RM3000 (included flight tickets, hotels, transport, food, entrance tickets)

Time take to fly between Malaysia and Taipei: 4-5 hours

Taiwan Visa: Malaysians can stay up to 30 days without VISA

After having the bad local tour experiences to China and Hong Kong, My sister, Kei and I decided to travel to Taiwan on our own. MEANS NO TOUR! We booked the flight tickets pretty early. About 1 year ago. This was my first time travelling to Taiwan. And I took a month in searching the information of hotels, interesting places, and transportation through the travel books and websites. Teehee! The schedule of our journey! ;DDDDD

The following websites are very useful.

The plane landed at 3pm at Taoyuan Airport. We were struck in the immigration for 1.5 hours. We bought the cellphone SIM card once we got out from the departure. There are few choices like Zhonghua Telecom 中华电信 (Zhonghua dianxin) and Taiwan Mobile 台湾大哥大 (Taiwan da ge da). We picked Zhonghua Telecom 中华电信 because it provides stronger network. As the vacation is about 9 days, I chose the package H. The price is reasonable with the unlimited data service. A good deal right?

This is a very important note you have to remember. One passport can only purchase one SIM card and the passport holder must be aged > 20 year old (To be consider 20 years old, you must pass your birthday) If you are younger than 20, you can ask for help from your travel agent or van driver. But due to the strict law in Taiwan, they can purchase only one SIM card for you. It’s fine if you want to save money by buying SIM card without data. Most of the hotels and cafes in Taiwan provide wifi and you can easily connect to it unlike in hong kong.

For one thing I have to mention is - the advantage of going vacation with family members. When we are with the family members, the schedule is always inflexible. We have freedom on choosing places and spend more time on shopping. HAHAHA!
